𝗪𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭?
I have always loved to draw, but 2015 was the year that changed a lot for me and my art. I discovered print-on-demand sites and started to upload my work there. When I received a lot of positive feedback on my illustrations and even got featured on the RedBubble homepage, I started to invest more time in my art creation and took it more seriously.
𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐫𝐭?
I get inspired by a lot of things, from a walk in the woods to a song I hear on the radio. I love to get inspired by checking out prints and patterns in interior and fashion stores. When I decide for a drawing I try to keep it simple and minimalistic.
𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞?
I think the importance of art in our daily lives is very similar to that of music. Just like art, music can make life extremely joyful and can have a huge effect on our mood. I like to include positive and motivational quotes in my artworks, because I want to bring joy to people’s lives with my art.
𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠?
Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there and show the world your creations! Social Media, for instance, is a great place to publish your artworks and get in touch with like-minded people. In the beginning it can be intimidating, but over time you will find yourself in a wonderful community of artists that inspire each other.
Also, keep your early drawings. Not just as memories but to see how you grow as an artist and your evolution. Your skills will grow and transform together with your artistic self. Now get out there and let your creativity shine!
